Yeah ok so I was exposed to these lovely personalities just now

Those people who keep pretty, tidy sketchbooks? Not me.

I’m easily intrigued by random ideas – and equally easily discouraged. In this particular case, I’m making a point of it because I had a lot of fun both planning and drawing this, and I felt that I had a valid point to make regarding the current hot topic in Norwegian media – although that is not going to be as-evident-as-planned from this version and its mangled text.

…This was going to be the first out of three pages. I never got further than this because the personal information I thought was mine to do with as I pleased, caused some drama I had not predicted. So I did a half-assed job of convoluting the big fucking secret before posting on a sketch blog, population: 2, just so everyone would stay happy. (Are you confused? Let’s put it this way: I won’t be at all surprised if Darth Vader calls, asking for a kidney.)

Aaaanyway. This was my first project using the GIMP, following my recent 100% switch to Ubuntu. I’m perfectly aware I can get photoshop running, but I’d rather figure out how to do what I want without it costing a fortune, yeah, thanks. I had fun. Still need to figure out how to get a less pixelly brush, but I imagine it’s quite doable. This change is, of course, easier for me than the illustrator-to-inkscape one, because vector graphics is what I spend the most time fiddling with.

Now I’m going to dig up my scanner. Again. It has a pile of socks on it.
